ARE WE THERE YET?
It's going to be long day - Brisbane to Nyngan (NSW) -950 ish Kms.
In anticipation of the exciting week ahead on EsCarpade , all three Team Afro members were up and about by 3.15am.
After leaving Afro headquarters at 5am , we met Tony & Rob from Car 808 and Team Bender at Blacksoil to head up the range to Toowoomba then onto Goondiwindi into NSW. First time zone change of the trip .
The obligatory Macca's breaky was had at Toowoomba , with the yuppy latte sipping set of Rob,Tony & Loz.
Loz decided to swap into the drivers seat at Goondiwindi , after a few minutes of working the gears , we were off and going heading for lunch at Narabri.
Loads of trucks & road works - Loz had fun with the sound effects - stirring road workers .

Coming into Warren ,running low on fuel we decided to top up to get us through - received donation $20
- Graham in the Bender mobile decided to find out their range and about 15 minutes later found it - fuel light on and 15 kms to get fuel.
We stopped while Bender topped up from jerry cans and then on to Nynga - Coonabarrabran for those who have followed Team Afro from 2012 was where we supposed to stay on the way back from Canberra - but one missed right hand turn and we were 200 km out of our track.
Great motel - The Alamo - happy & welcoming staff all the way from Ireland.
First of many end of day beers was had , then off to the pub that Loz sourced -two minutes from motel over the railway line.
Walking to the pub - we started to think we were on the wrong side of the tracks so to say - then like a beacon their she was
"The Australian" hotel , complete with cow on the roof - looking good for the carnivores in the group.
Good meal and a drink - then back to motel for a well deserved and appreciated sleep.
We were getting there.
